JSAR meets at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the Chimacum Fire Hall on Highway 19 in Chimacum.  All age ranges and ability levels are welcome.  There are always ways to help!  You must be 16 years of age or older and pass a routine background check.  Anyone interested in membership is encouraged to attend a meeting to learn more about our fun and professional group.

Explorer Post 1678

Exploring is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America.  Meetings are held at 6:00pm prior to the regular JSAR meeting (see above). The post provides coeducational opportunities for area young people wishing to serve the community and to develop their own wilderness travel and rescue skills.  Exploring helps build self-confidence and develop leadership skills. Exploring members function alongside JSAR members in training and missions as appropriate.  Membership is open to anyone between the ages of 14 and 20. Any teen with an interest in the outdoors and search and rescue is encouraged to attend the JSAR meetings to find out more about becoming a Explorer Post member.

If you would like someone to contact you about membership, or if you have additional questions, please feel free to send us an email.
